Peacefully, after a brief illness on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of Karl W. Stairs. Survived by her children Anne Smallbone (Barry), Jean Stairs (Wayne Soble), James Stairs (Holly) and her grandchildren Laura (Michael Trink), Emily (Art Ramsay), Colin, Jessica and Kyle. Dear sister of Robert Ferris and the late Norman Ferris and Bernice Piers. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.), Nepean on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at McPhail Memorial Baptist Church, 249 Bronson Avenue from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Celiac Association or McPhail Memorial Baptist Church would be appreciated.
