McClymont, Evelyn Josephine (nee Hogan)
January 14, 1935-October 14, 2021
Peacefully at the age of 86, on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Fairview Manor (Almonte) surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Emmett and Elizabeth (Lascelle) Hogan. Wife of the late Donald Alexander McClymont. Loving mother of Kerrie Drew (Doug), Valerie McClymont, Tammy McClymont (Larry Deugo) and Donnalyn McClymont (Ian Pomroy). Cherished and loving grandmother of Christopher Drew (Jackie), Joey Drew and Emily McClymont. Predeceased by her wee darling, grandson Jamie Drew. Great-grandmother to Emma, Ella, Rowyn and Easton Drew. Loving sister of Beverly Bayliss (Roy). Dear friend of Joan Bayliss and Nancy Cox. Predeceased by her much loved siblings, Joseph “Bill" (Goldie), Milton “Milty” (Shirley), Leo “Buddy”, Mary “Cis” Clarke (Keith “Dinny”), Gerald “Gerry” (Reta), Marjorie “Margy” Desarmia (Martin “Marty”) and Shirley Hyland (Gary). Evelyn will be fondly remembered by the Hogan, McClymont and Kennedy families, as well as extended relatives. She will be missed by many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Many thanks to our front-line heroes at the Fairview Manor (Heritage House) for their kindness and compassion. A special thanks to Dr. Roger Drake. We will never be able to express our depth of gratitude to the entire team at the Fairview Manor for the outstanding care Evelyn received. Thanks to Father Baxter Park, St. James Anglican Church, Carp for his pastoral care. A person of deep faith, Evelyn overcame the challenges in her life with determination and optimism. She was a devote Christian who took great pride in her work at St. James Anglican Church in Carp, serving as the President of the Altar Guild. Always prepared with a well-timed quip (“better days ahead” was a lifelong favorite), she will be remembered for her quick wit and love of life.
