SMITH, Eva Margaret (née Cox) July 14,1925 - May 13, 2023

Peacefully at the Colonel By Retirement Residence, Ottawa on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the age of 97 years. Eva was born in Victoria Corner, New Brunswick, July 14, 1925. Predeceased by her parents, Louis Cox, and Pearl (Albright) Cox; her son Stephen Smith; and brother Donald Cox. Beloved wife of Harold for 76 years, dear mother of Greg (Jane) Wendy (Goran) and loved grandmother of Jessica, Andrew, Christofer and Erik. Great grandmother to Harrison and a loving Aunt of all her nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Colonel By for their compassionate care. In keeping with Eva’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Tubman Funeral Homes Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with visiting starting at 12 noon. For those unable to attend the service, a live stream will be available by visiting Eva’s tribute page on the funeral home website. Interment will occur in Woodstock, New Brunswick at a later date.
