Eugénie Doré (née van Frankfoort)
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eugénie Doré at the age of 70. Born in The Hague on December 10, 1953, Eugénie moved to Canada as a child and built a life rich with love and cherished memories.
Eugénie is survived by her devoted children Mia and Nikola (Jenna), and her beloved grandchildren Roman and Audrey, who brought immense joy to her life. She leaves behind her siblings Stan (Mel) and Ron (Carol), her mother Adeline. She adored her nephew and nieces, Dylan, Lana, Amanda, and Brittany, along with her great-nieces and her great-nephew. Eugénie was predeceased by her father, Kees.
Eugénie lived life to the fullest, never losing her sense of humor and sass. Her sharp wit and lively spirit brought laughter and light to every gathering. Her family was her pride and joy, and she instilled in them the values of empathy and generosity, leaving a legacy of love that will be carried forward. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jennings and her team of professional caregivers for their unwavering compassion and kindness. They are also deeply thankful to May Court Hospice and their dedicated staff for providing comfort and support in her final moments.
A celebration of Eugénie's life will be held on Saturday, September 7th from 1pm to 3pm at Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road)
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Ottawa Kitten Rescue, Community Alley Trappers, or a charity of your choice.
Eugénie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Eugénie, Mom, Mommé, Momma D, Oma, you will be deeply missed.
