Eugene Hein

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Roland Eugene Hein. He was the son of the late Albert Hein and the late Eugenie Hein. Roly was the loving husband of Barbara and father of Graeme. Brother to Al (Jan) of Oakville, brother-in-law to Rob (Joy) McCormack of Bracebridge and Lynda MacEachern of Alliston. He was the fun loving uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families. Roly made lifelong friends in the construction industry and will be greatly missed by his employees who he held in high regard. Originally from Toronto, he came to Ottawa to supervise the construction of the National Gallery of Canada. Upon its completion in 1988, he founded the company now known as R.E. Hein Construction. He has served as Past Chairman, Past Director of The Ontario General Contractors Association and The Ottawa Construction Association.
