Ernie Pelletier

October 4, 1927 — January 12, 2017

Ernie Edouard Pelletier of Ottawa passed away peacefully in hospital on Thursday January 12, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife Denise Bertrand, daughter Diane, son Ron & his partner Doug, and his cherished grandchildren Zachary & Dahlia. Predeceased by his parents, Paul Pelletier & Rose Giroux, as well as siblings Germaine, Edgar, Arthur, Raymond and Gerald.

Ernie was a long time resident of Sudbury and for over 38 years worked as a general foreman at Inco (now Vale) before retiring and moving to Ottawa to begin his second career that extended to 17 years at Alterna Bank.

He was an avid sports fan of his favourite teams the Senators, REDBLACKS and Blue Jays. He was extraordinarily creative and talented in his abilities to fix anything that was thrown at him, both at home and at work, including gardening, carpentry, house building, electrical work & so much more. He did it willingly, always with patience and a smile.

A private service will be held in the spring. Condolences and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com . In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
