It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Erlinda Flores - mother, grandmother and special friend. She died peacefully and with dignity at the Elisabeth Bruyère Hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Tarlac, The Philippines, Erlinda was predeceased by her parents, Florencia Salas and Romulo Flores, and her sister, Avelina de Leon. She is survived by her sisters, Mirasol Etourneau and Anita Escoto, and her brother, Romulo Flores, Jr. She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, Rommel Martell (Tina) and Tyrone Glenn Martell (Tracy), and her beloved grandchildren, Beatrix, Alexandra and Gabriel Martell and Tyler Austin Martell. Also mourning her loss are many friends, including Barbara Crook and Dan Greenberg and her best furry friend Oscar. A beauty queen in her youth, Erlinda touched everyone who knew her with her amazing smile and quiet strength. She was an indispensable part of the family of Shirley and the late Irving Greenberg for 25 years. The family would like to thank the staff from Nurse Next Door, We Care and everyone at Bruyère, all of whom have been most kind.
