Erla Anna Yank (née Cheslock) passed away peacefully on November 30, 2020 at the age of 90, at the Residence Le Monarque in Montebello, QC. Erla was born on March 7, 1930 to Emil and Gertrude Cheslock, and lived most of her life in Poltimore, QC and at Echo Beach. She was an integral part of the community her whole life, and she loved cooking, sewing, and spending time surrounded by her family and friends.
Erla is survived by her beloved husband Earl Yank, and her sons Andy (Laura), Barry (Christiane), and Calvin. She is predeceased by her eldest son Miles (Mary), and her five siblings, Gordon, Eckhardt, Antonia, Gilbert, and Eleonora. She is survived by her sister-in-law Shirley Cheslock, and many very good friends.
Erla was blessed with many beloved grandchildren: Monty (Trina), Peter (Melissa), Tyler (Jared), Brandon, and Dominic, as well as seven great-grandchildren. We will all miss her very, very dearly!
The family would like to thank the wonderful team at the Villa St. Louis de France in Poltimore and the Le Monarque hospice for their exceptional care.
Erla was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bowman, QC, where she will be laid to rest in a small private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Erla's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
