February 28, 1985 – May 26, 2021

Elissa Eileen Staal (Villeneuve), 36, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband by her side.

Elissa was predeceased by her mother, Darlene.  She is survived by her husband, Nick, her father, Tom, her brother, Tommy (Michelle) and her very special furry companion of 15 years, Chica. She will be sadly missed by many family and friends.

Elissa had a great love of animals and was extremely passionate about the environment. This was evident in the way she lived her life.

Their mission is simple:  To provide a permanent safe haven for farm animals, horses and birds that are at risk of being sent to slaughter as well as those that have suffered abuse and neglect.  Through community involvement and education, they aim to promote compassion and kindness towards all farm animals.  They are a non-profit corporation.  Every donation and sponsorship goes directly to the animals.
