Eiko Takeuchi Katsumi
October 12, 1928 - February 10, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Eiko, proud Mother of Naomi (Patrick), Donald (Karin) and Albert (Terrianne). Grandmother of Alison, Megan, Riley and Davis. Predeceased by her husband Kinichi, sisters Fumiko and Tsuyako. Arriving with her family to start a new life in Canada in 1956, she raised 3 successful children, and was a very involved grandmother as well. Eiko's many friends in Toronto and Ottawa will miss her warmth and laughter. The Family would like to thank the staff at Carleton Lodge’s Rideau Village for their kindness and care of our mother for the last 6 years. Thank you also to Wendy Lehmann for her care and compassion as she spent quality time with our mother for the last 10 years. A Celebration of Life gathering will be schedule for the spring and friends will be invited to share the many stories of her life.
