Detective Staff Sergeant O.P.P. Retired
Ted, passed away peacefully at his home, with Laurie by his side on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the age 57. Mourning his passing is the love of his life, his wife Laurie O’Brien (nee Findlay). Ted will be deeply missed by his in-laws Lynda Parent (Bernie), Keltie Leclair (Michael) and Alison Bahm (Jeff). He was a fun-loving uncle to Patrick and Matthew; Rebekka (Josh), Linden (Alli) and Mackenzie (Dom); Lindsay and Rodney and Great Uncle to John and Aubrey. Ted was predeceased by his parent Jim and Ada O’Brien and his sister Karen. Affectionately known as “Bundy”, he was a proud serving member of the O.P.P. for 30 years. He was also well known by members of the RCMP, The Ottawa Police Service and the Barrie Police Service. Ted lived his life to the fullest. He had three great loves: Laurie, his family and friends and the Boston Bruins. Visitation will be held at the Tubman Funeral Homes’ Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Rd (between Bayshore and Baseline) on Sunday January 9, 2022 from 3 to 5 p.m. The celebration of life service will be held in the chapel, Monday January 10, 2022 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception.
