At the Prince of Wales Manor. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 74 years Dorothy Edna Scharfe, and their son the Rev. William Edward (Fran). Also predeceased by his parents William Archibald and Florence Mary (Case), sister Florence Cratchley (Reginald) and brother William Lester (Margaret Russell). Survived by children Robert Frank (Carol), Elizabeth Ann, James Gordon (Laurie), Florence Janet Forsyth (Bruce), 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, In-laws Werner and Gladys Eggert, Irene McIntyre, nieces, nephews and friends. He served in the Canadian Army (RCEME), was active in the Masonic and Shrine Communities and a long-time member of the United Church. His family grieves his passing but rejoices that he is now reunited with his beloved Dorothy. Rest in peace Dad. Visitation at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Baseline and Bayshore Dr.), on Saturday, September 6, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, September 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with a Masonic service on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral service to be held Monday, September 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Britannia United Church, 985 Pinecrest Road. Donations to the Shrine Hospital in Montreal or a charity of your choice.
