Passed peacefully and with family at Extendicare Starwood on June 5, 2014 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Alexander "Al" Derouin. Predeceased by siblings Evelyn and George, Edna and Ethyl. Loving mother of Rick & Marlene (Bailey) and the late Connie Hicks. Cherished grandmother of Nancy (Mark) Swailes, Michael (Kazuyo) Derouin, David Derouin, Eric Anderson, Sean McCullough, Erin (David) Pelletier, Graham McChesney, and fun-loving great grandmother of Katie, Tommy, Joey, Tyson, Savannah, Jessica and Reilly. She will be sadly missed by her sister Eunice Hutton, brother Carrol Flegel and son-in-law Emmett Hicks as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the loving staff at The Starwood, who helped to make Mom's final months happy and fun.Friends & family may visit at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 10:00 until service time in the chapel at 11:00, followed by a reception at Tubman's.The family will proceed to Capital Memorial Gardens at 1:30.
