ROBINSON, Gord (Gordie) retired OC Transpo driver 1167 and booking clerk for over 31 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2nd, 2019 at the Kemptville Hospital at the age of 72. He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 wonderful years Louise (née Dufresne), his sons Cliff of Ottawa and Steve and Emilie Gilbert of Halifax, NS. Predeceased by his parents Ross Robinson and Betsy Bell, his father–in-law René Dufresne, Berthe (née Cousineau), his brothers-in-law, Jack Dufresne, Richard Dufresne and his nephew Randy Dufresne. He leaves behind his sisters Beverley of Trenton, ON and Wynona of Ottawa and his brothers, Ian of Markham, ON, Roy and Louise (née Lavictoire) of Ottawa and Andrew of Regina, SK. Also, his brother-in-law John Dufresne (Dolores Sharpe), his sisters-in-law, Claire (Sly Desormeaux) of Gatineau, Rachelle (Donald Desjardins) of Ottawa, Francine (Mike Lanthier) of Ottawa, Penny Dufresne (née Armstrong) of Chemanius, BC and Dyane (née Glandon) of Ottawa. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Louise would like to thank the staff at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, the Ottawa General and especially the staff at the Kemptville Hospital for their excellent care. A very special thanks to Dr. T. Zakham, Dr. Benjamin Walsh for all the home visits and Dr. Gabriella Lewin. There will be one day of afternoon and evening visitation at the Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean on Monday, September 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute and the Canadian Lung Association.
