Douglas "Doug" Allen Tompkins passed away on June 16, 2018, in hospital in Ottawa. Doug was predeceased by his father, Jay Allen Tompkins, his mother, Yvonne Elsie Tompkins (nee Brown), and his brother Neville George Tompkins of Florenceville, New Brunswick. Doug will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many relatives, friends and former colleagues. Doug was passionate about aviation. His career spanned many years working at Pan Am, Wardair, Worldways, and with Transport Canada. Doug absolutely loved spending his summers at the Mississippi Lake RV Resort, and had made many good friends there. Doug will be profoundly missed by all at the Brown family dinners in Ottawa. Friends and family may pay respects and share memories at Tubman Funeral Homes Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt.), Ottawa, Ontario on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Interment of Doug's ashes will take place at a later date at the Iroquois United Church Loyalist Cemetery, Iroquois Point, Iroquois, ON.
