Peacefully, in Ottawa, on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his parents E. Stuart Beaman and Emma Rogers Henderson, wife Audrey Tyers, son David Sidney Beaman, brother Ian Beaman and sister Avril Hooper. Loving father of Deborah and Catherine (Al Falsetti), grandfather of Giovanni and Ashley, and cherished longtime companion to Jean Foulds. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Doug was born in Ottawa and enjoyed his teaching career which began in Renfrew and concluded upon his retirement in Ottawa. He joined the RCAF Reserve and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, marching in local parades and former Service Officer. A "snowbird", since his retirement, in Clearwater/St. Petersburg FLA and former resident of Constance Bay. Fondly remembered and forever missed by many family and friends. The family will hold a private remembrance celebration and he will be laid to rest in the family plot at Beechwood Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or your favourite charity would be appreciated by the family.
