Dorothy Esther Weitzenbauer

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved mother, Dorothy Weitzenbauer, March 15th 2024. She passed suddenly in her home. 

Born on August 30th 1956, Dorothy Weitzenbauer brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered, with her infectious laughter and kind heart. Her selflessness knew no bounds, as she dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a loving mother, adoring grandmother, devoted sister, caring aunt and cherished friend to many. 

Dorothy Weitzenbauer will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Predeceased by her mother Josephine (Sinai) Smith, father Norman Smith, and brother Dave E. Smith.   Honouring her memory, sisters Diane (Rick) Hogan, Barb (Ron) Ingram,  nephews Jason Hogan, Trevor Hogan, Thomas Ingram and niece Erin Ingram. Her daughter Josie Weitzenbauer and grandson Koen Elliot Weitzenbauer.

In honouring her wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held, May 17th 11am to 3pm at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, 901 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa.
