Dorothy Isobel McCallum

Dorothy passed swiftly and peacefully at the age of 103, on Good Friday April 18, 2025 with family at her bedside. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Ed McCallum (March 2002) and cherished daughter Marilyn McCallum (March 2025). Celebrating her wonderful, long life are her blessed children; Tom (Cathy), and Gord. Loving grandchildren; Kelly (Victor), Janet, Tamie (Eric), Lenie, Adele (Hayden) and Mélanie.

Beautiful great grandchildren Amanda, Bradley, Robyn, Isabelle , Zacharie and Lola. Great-great granddaughter Lily.

Dorothy had an endless supply of love, compassion and understanding for everyone she interfaced with. Living each day setting example how to be kind, and giving back. Whether through her loyalty to her church and faith, volunteer work at several Ottawa Hospitals, or through song. ( The Capital Chordettes ). Thanks Dot. Unconditional appreciation and praise to All staff at the Dundas Manor (Winchester ON.). Where Dorothy received unequaled care, attention and love for the final several years of her beautiful life. The family will be forever grateful for you. For all that knew her, know she was grateful for having had you in her life.

Dorothy’s final wishes will be met at Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel (3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa) on April 24, 2025, Viewing from 11:00-1:00 pm. Service 1:00 pm. Internment at Capital Memorial Gardens (3700 Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa, On) at 2:30. Please join us if you can, in person or by live stream at 1:00 pm via Tubman Funeral Home’s web page.
