Passed away on September 29, 2020 at the age of 99.  Dorothy Allen, nee Wallingford, a former school teacher and WWII veteran.  Beloved wife of the late Gregory Allen for almost 61 years.  Dorothy was a graduate of Ottawa Normal School and taught school for some time.  Later she joined the RCAF and trained in Montreal as a wireless operator.  Her husband Gregory who was an  aircrew Navigator-Bombadier returned to Canada from Europe once he had completed his tour of duty.  Later her husband graduated from Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph and moved to Petrolia, Ontario, where he became a Settlement Officer with the Veterans Land Act.  Gregory retired as District Supervisor of Eastern Ontario for the Farm Credit Corporation.  Both she and her husband served as officers in  the Kemptville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion  and worked to promote the interests of veterans.  Loving mother of Wayne,  Diane Stortini, and Pamela Myers.  Dear grandmother of Raymond (Rachel) and Kenneth Myers and also the late Karen Myers.  She is survived by her sister Myrtle Burnell, and brothers Errol, Ronald and Richard. She was predeceased by her sisters Lilian Pedley, Emily Davis and brothers Sidney and Neil.  Burial at Capital Memorial Gardens.  Graveside Service for family only on Sunday, October 4th, 2020 at Capital Memorial Gardens.  Many thanks to the staff of Chartwell New Edinburgh Square Retirement Residence and Montfort Hospital for their loving care. Memorial donations are suggested to the CNIB Foundation.
