Donna Babineau

May 2, 1951 — October 15, 2016

Donna Marie Kavanagh

(nee Babineau)

1951-2016

Passed gently on Saturday October 15, 2016 at the age of 65 in Smiths Falls at the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital surrounded by family with her husband and son at her side. Donna was the much loved wife, soulmate and best friend of her husband Paul (Kav). Together in marriage for over 41 years they raised their son Craig and watched him grow their immediate family to include daughter in-law Tara and grandchildren, whom meant the world to her, Preston, Cole and Ryan. Donna is now reunited with her parents Robert (Bob) and Elizabeth (Betty) Babineau. She leaves behind siblings Pam (Bernie), Bruce, Rick (Donna) and Sheri, many extended family members of both the Babineau and Kavanagh families as well as all of those whose lives she touched. Donna was one of the most caring and unselfish people you could ever imagine meeting, constantly and consistently ensuring that all was well with everyone other than herself. She dedicated many hours to helping family, friends and strangers (notably veterans) with anything they needed even if they didn't know they needed it. Strong, courageous, powerful, proud, Donna was an extraordinary woman who led a remarkable life and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Profoundly missed by all, goodnight Babs. A visitation will be held Friday October 21 from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM (Legion service @ 7:00) at Tubman Funeral Homes in Carp. A funeral mass will be held Saturday October 22 at St. Gabriel's Parish in Constance Bay @ 11 AM with a reception immediately following at Legion Branch 616 in Constance Bay. A private family interment will take place Monday October 24 at Beechwood Military Cemetery in Ottawa. For those wishing, donations in memory of Donna Kavanagh to Kingston 4 Paws Service Dogs would be greatly appreciated.
