FAIRBROTHER, David George Lewis
In hospital, after a short illness on July 26, 2020. Cherished husband of Maria Schuckert. Predeceased by his wife Barbara-anne Stubbs and great grandson Landon. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Penny (Randy), grandchildren; Kevin (Shailla), Robert (Kirsten) & Mike (April), great-grandchildren; Alayah, Athena, Ivy, Hunter, Ava & Ryker. Poppa and birthday buddy to Autumn Cameron. Fondly remembered by sister, Dianne (Jan) and sisters-in-law Willie Fairbrother and Shirley Stubbs. David was born in Oshawa, Ontario, to Thomas Fairbrother and Ethel Lewis-Smith. David was an Airframe Tech in the RCAF for many years, after which he opened Pixie Garden Centre & Florist, in Stittsville. He also drove school bus for Richmond Buslines and later OCTranspo For a short time, he taught horticulture at McArthur H.S. David was very involved in his community. He was a past member of the Stittsville Legion, Lions Club & Horticultural Society, as well as an active volunteer on various committees including the Goulburn Museum, Stittsville Village Association, Foodbank, Coffee group and his Walking Group! Special thank you to Dr. Iyengar and the ICU nurses at the QC Hospital for their compassionate care. A private memorial service will be held on August 14, 2020 at Tubman Funeral Homes.
