David John Batcock

BATCOCK, David John, C.D. (Major, Ret’d). Passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025, in his 94th year. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend of 57 years, Norma.

Proud father of Barbara Ann Hincke (Max) and Trish Hargrave (Steve). Much loved Papi of Melissa Petit-Clerc (Stephane), Rachel Hincke (Alex Kemp), Sarah Beaudry (Sebastien), and Colin Hargrave. Great-Papi of Benjamin, Tristan, and Caleb Petit-Clerc; Asher and Lydia Tarof, Gabriella and David Kemp; Emma and Hunter Beaudry.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Second Floor Staff at Aspira Red Oak Retirement Living for their love and compassion.

Friends are invited to Tubman Funeral Home Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, on Thursday, April 24th, 2025, from 11:00am to 2:00pm for a Celebration of Life. Words of remembrance will be shared at 11:30am followed by refreshments.

In keeping with David’s wishes, his urn will be interred privately at the National Military Cemetery within Beechwood Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
