Stephens – Cynthia Ann (neé Simmons)

Suddenly in hospital on Monday, September 21, 2020 age 66 years.  Beloved wife of Rev. Neil Stephens. Cherished mother of Andrea Ciccarelli (Larry), Jeremy (Jody), Patrick (Mallory) and Adrian (Brenna).  Loving grandmother of Amani and Shireen Ciccarelli; Liam and Cara Stephens; Esther and Rupert Stephens; Rory, Margaret and Anna Stephens.  Dear sister of John Simmons (Karen) and Emily Clay (Ricky). Cynthia was devoted to her family and always took great interest in their lives.  She grew up in Mobile, Alabama and started her studies at Louisiana State University, later completing her B.Ed. at UBC Vancouver.  She taught for the OCDSB until she had to retire for health reasons.  Cynthia’s strong Christian faith was an inspiration to everyone, and she will be fondly remembered by many friends and church family. Due to Covid19 regulations, a Celebration of Thanksgiving to God for Cynthia’s life will take place at a later date.  Those wishing may make memorial donations to Diabetes Association or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
