Craig Douglas Chadwick

January 17, 1967 — December 14, 2024

Craig Chadwick passed in his 57th year on December 14 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital after saying good-bye to family members and many friends. He passed away after a long battle with cancer. Before leaving us, Craig taught us much about strength and courage.

Craig was a long-time employee of the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Senators operation crew. The hockey community in heaven will embrace Craig knowing their ice will be well taken care of by the best in the business.

But the bass in heaven’s ponds had better be wary. Craig was a passionate fisherman and never happier than when he was in his boat on the water in the company of one of his fishing pals.

Craig was a lover of cats and dogs, and they loved him back, especially his beloved Rottweiler Loomis, who was always by his side.

Craig will be missed by Tami Richard, his life partner, his big sister Jennifer Chadwick (Fran) , and older brothers John (Silvana) and Steve (Janet). Craig had a special place in his heart for his four nieces, Taylor, Hayley, Emma, and Katherine Chadwick. They all miss their uncle dearly.

Son of Al and Elaine Chadwick, Craig was a huge help and support to his parents as they got on in life. Craig is fondly remembered by the Doyle clan.

A celebration of life is being planned for some time in the New Year. His family looks forward to seeing Craig’s friends and colleagues, and to sharing stories and memories.

For those wishing, a donation in memory of Craig to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
