Late in the night on February 13,2018 Connor passed away peacefully at Roger Neilson House surrounded by his Mom, Dad and sister Gracie. Connor left this world too soon at the young age of 11 but has left a huge mark on so many. His unforgettable smile and huge dimples, his singing and telling stories in his own way, his laugh no matter how silly your jokes were, and his love for everyone are some of the many things he will be remembered for. Connor is survived by his parents, Ed and Jane Haynes and sister Gracie. Grandparents (Sarah and Tom DeMarco, Jenny and Martin Haynes) and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by sister Hannah. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of those who helped us care for Connor. Donna Masson, (care giver) who cared for Connor for many years and was like a third grandmother to him and his sisters. You loved Connor like one of your own and we will always be grateful for all the love you showed him. Special thank you to all the amazing staff at Roger Neilson House for years of care, support, laughs and love. Special thank you to all the staff at CHEO that cared for Connor over the years especially Neurology and Genetics. Thank you to Dr. Chan (pediatrician) and nurse Betty for always being just one phone call away. Thank you to OCTC, CCAC. Big thank you to Lanark Community Programs and Nicole Murray. Also, to all other care givers who cared for Connor over the years. Connor attended two great schools that welcomed him with open arms. Maple Grove Public School (Lanark), and St James the Greater (Smiths Falls) who both worked hard to accommodate and include Connor in regular school activities. He loved school and was always happy to see his teachers and classmates. Thank you for always making him feel part of the class. We have been blessed to receive so much love and support over the years it would be impossible to thank every one of you, to those of you that were there for us we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A service will be held at St Philip Church (127 Burke St. Richmond, ON) on March 3 rd with gathering to follow in the hall. Mass will be at 9:30 am.
In lieu of gifts or flowers a donation to Roger Neilson House would be greatly appreciated.
