Charles Currie

CURRIE, Charles Richard (June 24, 1940 – March 17, 2023) - Peacefully in his sleep on St. Patrick’s Day in his 82nd year. Loving husband to the late Mary Jean Currie. Father to Jennifer Rose (Jim), Rick Currie (Rosanne Palmer) and Heather Currie. Proud grandfather to Dayna Desmarais, Emily Rose, Haley and Jessi Currie, Jacob, and Zach Whiting. Richard had a passion for sports, music, and the English language. A lifetime member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, he started his career as a teacher and was a fixture on Confederation Square selling sightseeing tickets for over 40 years. Thank you to the caregivers at Valley Stream Retirement Home for making his final years comfortable and enjoyable. Visitation will be held at Tubman Funeral Homes Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon.
