Catherine Ann Brooks

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Catherine Ann Brooks (nee Stokes).

On August 12, 2023, our beloved matriarch died at the age of 69 years. Predeceased by her son, Phillip, Cathy leaves behind two sons: Andrew (Jamie) and Patrick (Jenna), and four cherished grandchildren: Charlotte, Zoe, Chase, and Cole.

Cathy will be missed dearly by her siblings: Mark (Marian), Patrick (Teresa), and Ann (Doug, deceased), her nieces, nephews, and her large network of friends.

A retired law clerk for the City of Ottawa, Cathy lived her life to the fullest through enthusiasm for family, friends, travel, biking, swimming, cooking and entertaining. She was always ready for the next adventure. Her family was her pride and joy, and she exuded positivity and gratitude each day. Those close to her will miss her zest for life, kindness, generosity, perseverance, and incredible heart.

Family will receive friends at Tubman Funeral Home Nepean (3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa) on Tuesday, August 22 from 5:00 -7:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held at the same location on Wednesday, August 23 at 11:00AM. Reception to follow.
