Ford, Carol Ann

October 22, 1936 – March 4, 2020

Peacefully, and surrounded by love, Carol Ann Ford, a beautiful Mom, Grandmother, Wife and Sister passed away on March 4, 2020.  Predeceased by her parents Caroline and Ronald Wiseman and her first husband Harold Ford.  Beloved wife of Donald Ford. Loving Mother and best friend to Hal (Sue), Kevin (Marlene) and Caroline.   Very proud and loving grandmother of Cody, Tristan, Skyler, Liam and Andrew. Loving sister to Bun, Hazel, Gwen, Jean, Danny and sister in law to Herb, Lawrence, Nola, Barry and Janet.

Carol cherished time with family and we all have fond memories of our time with her.  She was the rock of the family and was a positive influence in all our lives.  Known for her kind spirit, she loved to laugh, swim, going for long drives and exploring, playing darts and bingo.  She was so proud of her children and grandchildren’s accomplishments and was their biggest cheerleader and supporter.   She loved music, dancing and had made many memories in her 83 years.  She made many friends as well while working at the Royal Canadian Legion for numerous years supporting our Veterans.    She will be missed terribly.

We would like to extend our thanks to the team at the Ottawa Hospital General campus, and especially her nurses in her final moments who ensured she was comfortable.

In light of recent events, a celebration of life and reception will be held at a later date. The family will hold a private burial on April 4th.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation in support of cancer care and research.  Condolences, tributes and donations may be made at www.tubmanfunrealhomes.com.
