Carty, Carol Fern Neta, October 9,1940 - October 10, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Carol Fern Neta Carty (nee Miller) announce her passing on October 10, 2022 at home in Ottawa, at 82 years of age.

Carol is predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick Adrian Carty, and her parents Harold John Miller and Neta Nellie (Noble). Loving mother to Paula (Robert Tyson) and Jarrett (Nikki) and a devoted Nana to Hannah and Olivia. Dear sister to Harold Miller (Brenda Millious) and George Miller (Christel), and Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Carol will be fondly remembered for her adventurous spirit, devotion to family, love of nature, cheery conversations and always having fresh baking in the oven. She was a loving wife, mother and nana, and was an advocate, cheerleader and nurturer for her children and grandchildren. She had a lifetime love of animals and would often be seen in the neighbourhood walking her Scottie dog, Angus. Carol primarily resided in Ottawa, but was born in Burlington, Newfoundland and was proud of her Newfoundland heritage. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but will remain forever in our hearts.

As per Carol’s wishes, a cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 1:00 pm on Friday October 14, 2022, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 14, 2022 at All Saints’ Anglican Church Westboro at 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa (corner of Churchill Avenue and Richmond Road). Live stream will also be available for those who cannot join in person.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff and residents at Colonel By Revera for their exceptional care, support and friendship, as well as Ideal Caregivers for care and companionship through difficult times.
