Henry – Carmen
March 8, 1928 – December 4, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Carmen Henry announces his passing on December 4, 2019 at the Dundas Manor at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Katherine Henry (Shouldice). Much loved father of Donna Byron (Mike), Linda Klein-Swormink (Gary) and Douglas Henry (Jen Arnold). Dear brother of Claire Drew, Joyce Begley and James Henry. Cherished grandfather of Emily Harrington (Ryan), Rachel Langlois (Nick), Blaine Byron, Holly Klein-Swormink, Peter Klein-Swormink and Hope Klein-Swormink. Great grandfather of Nixon, Dylon, Tyson, Zoey and Rory. Carmen was born March 8, 1928 in Ottawa to Matthew and Jessie (Condie) Henry. He spent his days farming and driving trucks. In 1959, he married Kay, the love of his life, and they had three children together. One of Carmen’s favourite sayings was ‘Don’t worry, be happy,” and that was truly how he lived his life. Whether he was randomly bursting into song or acting silly for his grandkids and great-grandkids, Carmen always had a zest for life. Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Monday, December 9th from 11 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Condolences, donations or tributes may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.
