GAFFNEY, (Roy) Brian

1947 - 2023

Peacefully, in hospital with family by his side, on Tuesday January 10th, 2023 in his 76th year. Brian will be greatly missed by his beloved wife and best friend Cheryl (nee Coughlin), his loving daughter Christine Buwalda and son-in-law Spencer Buwalda, Gampa’s cherished grandchildren Kayleigh and Ben, his dear sister Patty Gagnon (Philippe) and his dear brother Gerry Gaffney (late Cathy). Survived by his brothers in law Bill Coughlin (Donna) and Jim Coughlin (Debbie) and his nieces Meghan Stewart (Duncan), Kelsey Webster (James), Sarah Brady (John) and nephew Shaun Coughlin (Katie). Predeceased by his brother Ken Gaffney, father and mother James and Etiennette  Gaffney.

Brian will be remembered for his love of his family, friends and neighbours, his sense of humour and his love of cars, walks and books. The family thanks Dr. E. Westley and staff and the Doctors and Nurses in the ICU at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their kind care of Brian.

Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of TUBMAN FUNERAL HOMES, 3440 Richmond Rd., Ottawa, Ontario, on Friday January 27th from 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturday, January 28th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. For those that are unable to attend in person, there will be a livestream available.
