Clouthier, Betty Merilyn (nee Robinson) died on February 22, 2021 after a short illness at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
Born in 1930 to the late Carena and Isaac Robinson of Greenwood,Ontario, she grew up in that community and moved to Petawawa upon her marriage to her late husband, Emmett Clouthier. In later years they moved to Carp, Ontario.
Betty was the mother of Lynn, the late Randy, Tasma, Rodney (Dale), Roger, Jamie (Patti), Monty (Shelley) and Shawn (Pam), the grandmother of seventeen children and the great-grandmother of twenty-four. They were all her darlin’s. Sister to the late Lindsey (Lorna) Robinson, the late Gordon (Anna) Robinson and David (Judi) Robinson as well as aunt to many Robinson and Clouthier nieces and nephews.
Betty graced every meeting with warmth and love. Betty was beloved by many. With friends, relatives, neighbours she was interested, listened, comforted, laughed and accepted. She was strong and good, a constant to the end.
Her family thanks everyone who knew her for their kindness and love for her. We also thank Dr. Alicia Rosencrantz and all the staff at the West Carleton Medical Centre, the West Carleton Drug Mart and the Queensway Carleton Hospital ICU who cared for her over the years and in her final days. We are so grateful.
