Passed peacefully away March 14, 2017, at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital in Ottawa after a short illness and surrounded by her loving family. Bessie, formerly of Newfoundland and Labrador, is predeceased by her husband, Robert Boyce(1980) parents Leonard(1957)and Louisa(Brown) Elliott (1972) father-in-law Clifford(2012) and mother-in-law Gola(Jones) Snow(1984). Left with treasured memories are her sons, Robert(Edna), Bradley(Jennifer), and Aaron (Tracey) and grandchildren Brayden, Samuel, and Charlie all of Ottawa, sisters-in-law Elizabeth (Floyd) Spracklin of Corner Brook, NL and Sheila (Donald) Walsh of Mount Pearl, NL., and special cousin and friend Evelyn Batten of Islington, NL. Bessie was also blessed with a large circle of relatives and close friends. A special thank-you to the Queensway-Carleton ICU doctors, nurses, and staff for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa. Cremation has taken place and an inurnment will follow at a later date in St. John’s, NL. Family and friends are invited to pay their last respects at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Baseline and Bayshore) on Monday, March 20th from 7-9 PM with a funeral home chapel service at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21st.
