Beryl Amie Buck

Beryl died peacefully in her sleep on January 14th 2025 at the age of 101. 

She was born on the 25th of June 1923 in London, England to Bertha and Wally Dennett. 

Having survived the blitz of London during the Second World War, Beryl married her first husband Leslie Moody after his return from three years serving in the Middle East. 

Beryl and Leslie had three Children - Kevin, Ian and Diane. 

Kevin emigrated to Canada in 1972 followed by Ian in 1977 and Beryl in 1980. 

After Leslie died in 1970 Beryl became the matriarch of the Moody family, a responsibility she discharged ably for over 50 years. 

Beryl was a devoted grandmother to Jenny, Dawn, Rachel, David and Emma and great-grandmother to Brandon, Miranda, Christopher, Christian, Jack, Charlie and Isabella. 

After the shock of losing her husband, Beryl became a standard bearer for healthy eating habits, walking and the use of vitamins and supplements, a passion which she passed onto to her children and grand children. 

In accordance with Beryl's wishes there will be no funeral service and her ashes are to be placed with those of her father in the cemetery in Belleville.
