August 5, 1937-March 22, 2016

Suddenly but peacefully at home with family by her side. Barbara will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 60 years, Bill. Also missed by her children Catherine, Brian and daughter-in-law Jackie, grandchildren Alex, Megan, Billy and Bertha and her "sister" Shirley. Predeceased by her sisters Melba and Lillian, her dear niece Pat and her great-niece Jody. Barbara was loved and will be dearly remembered by many family, friends, neighbours and by the Crystal Beach Bridge Club. Thank you to the Ottawa Paramedics and Queensway Carleton Hospital Staff for all their compassion. Friends may visit at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean on Saturday,March 26, 2016 from 10 a.m. until time of service in the Chapel at 12 p.m., followed by reception. In lieu of flowers, donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
