It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Braid at the age of 95. She left this world peacefully, in hospital, surrounded by her family. Audrey was the beloved wife, for 63 years, of the late Phillip Braid and the loving mother of Eric (Karen), Andrew (Wendy), and Matthew (Kim). She was the adored Granny of Andrea, Tanya, Deborah, Kevin, Heather, Catlin and Cheyenne, and the much-loved great-grandmother of Wesley, David, Adam, Keelan, Warren, Dominic and Mia. Audrey was the daughter of the late George Llewellyn Stewart and the late Verena Lilletta Guinn. She was predeceased by her brothers Weldren, Roy and Bob, and by her sisters Sylvia, Phyllis and Maime. She is survived by her brother Bill Stewart of Melfort, Saskatchewan and her sister Florence Harrison of Leduc, Alberta. Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars (East of Hwy 416) on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service in the chapel at 3 p.m. followed by a reception. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
