Antonio Paulo Shiguemi Misaka

Antonio Misaka passed away unexpectedly in Ottawa on September 29, 2024 at the age of 65.

Predeceased by his parents Nobuo and Lilias Misaka. Survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Helena Sawaco Misaka. Lovingly remembered by his brother Takeshi, sister-in-law Tiemy, daughter Cristiane, son Gabriel, son-in-law Jason and new grandson Thomas.

Antonio was born and raised in Brazil. While in university, he met his beautiful wife Helena and they had two children. After visiting Canada in 1999, he fell in love with it and the next year he made the decision to move there with his family. He was a life long learner devoting himself to understand whatever was of interest to him. It made him very happy to be as helpful and generous to others as possible. Because of his outgoing and positive nature, he was able to brighten up the lives of so many people in all of the organizations and groups that he was a part of, and everyone he met. His contagious smile and kind heart will be missed by us and by many others.

His friends and family are invited to share happy memories and celebrate Antonio’s life in the way he would want to be remembered - as a loving and caring man who enjoyed life.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 3-6pm in the party room at 415 Greenview Avenue, Ottawa Ontario.
