Tubman – Margaret “Anne”

Peacefully at Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling on Monday, February 26, 2024 in her 90^th year, from Parkinson’s disease. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years John Tubman.  Loving mother of Kim McKenna (Don) of St. Louis and the late Ben Tubman (Cindy) of Bracebridge. Grandmother of John (Amanda), Benjamin (Sophia), Ginny (Chris), Becky (Dan), Maggie (Mike) and Grant.  Great-grandmother of Robert, Andrew, Steven, Isabella, Evelyn, Cian and Oscar.  Dear sister of John (late Edna) Mains, Reba (Glen) Featherstone, Henry (Carol) Mains and the late Melvin Mains.  Sister-in-law of the late Lorna McLaughlin. Dear friend of Earl Jones.  

Anne was an avid golfer, curler, swimmer, and walker. Many enjoyed her hospitality and great cooking at Mississippi Lake.  

The family will receive friends at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp on Friday, March 1^st from 2 to 6 pm.  

Funeral services will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 225 Edmund Street, Carleton Place on Saturday, March 2^nd at 11 am.
