The most wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother has gone to heaven, leaving a legacy of unconditional love and the true meaning of family. Anna Elizabeth (Bond) Murray passed January 16, 2022 at her home at the age of 92. She is survived by her sister Jean Azulay and loving children Sharon (late John), Douglas (Sue), Daryl (Lori), Jeffrey (Marla), Janice (Brian), Tammy and Christopher (Melanie). Anna was the adored Grandmother of Michael (Mindy), Paul (Giselle), Gregory (Jennifer), Lia (Fred), Pamela (Cameron), Ben (Sarah), Sam (Kaitlyn), Kerry (Trish), Ryan (Emma), Amanda (Chris), Dawn, Matthew (Amanda), Liam, Kyle (Alyssa), Brett, Avery, Carling and Chloe; and Great-Grandmother of Jamie (Dillon), Tyler (Jodi), Taylor (Tori), Saydee, Gianna, Jayde, Alyssa, Drew, Blake, Reese, Bryce, Brooklyn, Julia, Kaylie, Korwynn, Emmersyn, Miles, Sidney, Rowan, Axel, Brayden, Jackson, Shelby, Brody, Timothy, Haley, Nolan, Corbin, Miller and Warren. Also left to mourn are her brother-in-law, John Shackleton and sister-in-law, Alma Bond, as well many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Allison (Buzz) Murray, her parents Sam and Jane Bond, her brother Jim, sister Hester and son-in-law, John.
The family wishes to thank the Champlain LHIN Home and Community Care and Palliative Care teams, as well as her oncology team at the Ottawa Hospital for all of their professional, compassionate care and support. Special thanks to our Melanie who made Mom’s wish to stay at home in her final days possible. Those wishing to honour Anna’s memory may want to consider a donation to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern of Ontario (CHEO). Private funeral arrangements are in the care of Tubman Funeral Homes.
