Ann Winsor Church

January 29, 1937 — October 11, 2024

Church, Ann Winsor (nee Brownrigg)

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Ottawa on Friday October 11, 2024 at the age of 87.

Beloved wife of 66 years to William Church KC. Dear mother to John Church (Jo) and Douglas Church (Roberta) of Renfrew, Julie Bokma of Barrie and George Church (Alexis) of Richmond Hill. Beloved grandmother of Matthew, Anna, Alex, Sydney, Samantha, Christina, Max and Mila. Ann will be greatly missed by her sister Lynn Spracklin of St. John's Newfoundland, sister-in-law Sheila Brownrigg and her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Born to the late Dr. Garrett and Ena Brownrigg, Ann grew up in St. John's Newfoundland before moving to Ontario in her late teens to pursue post-secondary education at Queen's University.

During this time she met her great love Bill and settled in Orangeville where they raised four children. After a brief career in education, Ann became a prominent figure in the business community for more than 40 years as a Real Estate Broker. Ann was involved in many charities over her lifetime and will most notably be remembered for her tireless efforts to build the first seniors centre in Orangeville.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Staff at Extendicare for their extraordinary care and kindness to our mother.

The family will be having a private celebration of life on a date to be determined. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Alzheimer's Society on Ann's behalf.
