Carr – Ann Maureen (nee Kehoe)
Our Mom and angel on earth, Ann Carr (nee Kehoe) of Ottawa, joined our father George Carr in Heaven on Dec 29, 2021. Ann had boundless energy and a generous spirit. Born in Bronx New York on September 28, 1934, to Viola and Gerard Kehoe. Ann was the youngest of 4 children and grew up in the love of a large and close family who devoted their life to the service of their country, community, and God.
Loving wife to George Carr. Adored Mother of Christine (Bob), Cynthia (Frank), Russell (Lynda), Maureen (Peter) and Matthew. Nana to Charlotte, Heather, Eileen, Courtney (Teddy), Christopher (Gwyn), Andrew (Melissa), Sophia, Bridgette, Ronan, and Audrey. Great Grandma to Nathan, Chloe, Rosalie, Ella, Scarlett, Jameson, Ty, Ryan and Emie. Ann was predeceased by Husband George, siblings Kevin, Jack, and Mary, and Granddaughter Diane.
Ann was a Registered Nurse who worked in New York City and San Francisco before enlisting in the US Air Force. Ann enjoyed many friends and adventures along the way before getting married.
Ann met her Husband of 53 years George, who was with the Canadian Air Force, at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Ottawa, Canada became a permanent home to raise 5 children.
Ann’s love of conversation, celebrations, and endurance for shopping never wavered. She always had a smile, never dwelt on herself, and was interested in others welfare. She enjoyed a large family and the company of many friends met through her nursing career, the military, square dancing clubs, bowling league, and the disability advocacy groups she was a part of throughout her life.
Mom taught us about living in the moment, having a positive attitude, and seeing the humanity in everyone. We will love and care for Matthew as you and Dad watch over us dancing together from Heaven.
