Norris Melburn Angus, a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished papa, passed away June 15, 2024, leaving a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered.
Born August 6, 1935, Norris was a pillar of strength and compassion in the lives of those who knew him. He was the beloved husband of Marlyn (nee Richardson), the devoted father of Jeffrey (Vickie) and Tanya (Brent), and cherished papa to Taylor, Brianna, Madison, Brady and Nicholas.
Norris was known for his kind nature, his gentle spirit, and his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand. He possesses a remarkable talent for fixing things, and often delighted in repairing items for the joy of it.
A true family man, Norris was a devoted grandfather who spend countless hours in arenas, cheering on his grandchildren with unwavering support and love. To the friends of his grandchildren, he was simply known as ‘papa’, a testament to the deep bond he shared with those around him.
Norris will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, knowing that his memory will forever be cherished and his spirt will always be remembered with love.
Visitation will be held at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Monday, June 24 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 930 Watson Street, Ottawa on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 12 noon.
