Angelo Carchidi

Peacefully after a brief struggle with cancer, on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Angelo Raffaele Carchidi, born in Serra San Bruno, Calabria, Italy. Beloved husband of 50 years to Louise (née Brissette). Loving father of Bruno (Teri Boda) and Assunta "Sue" Lammey (John). Proud Nonno of Devin and Eric Carchidi and Kiana Lammey. Survived by his sisters Teresa Brundia (late Angelo) of Ottawa, Raffaela Iennarella (Domenico) and Grazia Amato (Domenico) both of Italy and his brother Cosmo (Maria) of Hamilton. Predeceased by his brother Pietro (late Assunta), and sisters Rosaria (late Michele Mangiardi) and Assunta Brundia (late Salvatore). He will also be sadly missed by his many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all who had the pleasure of crossing his path. Everyone was always greeted with a smile and sent on their way with an armful of garden vegetables, Italian cold cuts, pasta sauce and wine. Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean, on Friday, October 19 ^th from 1-3 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, October 20 ^th at 11 am. Reception to follow. Private interment at a later date.
