Andrew Boyle

It is with utter devastation that we must announce that early in the morning of March 26, 2022, Andrew David Boyle has finally lost his courageous battle with brain cancer.  He was a fierce warrior who fought this horrible disease for just shy of a decade.  He was always brave beyond words, adamant that he didn’t want to be defined by this relentless disease and never once did he complain.

Andrew was born, with his “twinsie” Krista, in Saint John, NB on December 15, 1980.  He was, honestly, the best of all things.  He loved a good cup of coffee and a great craft beer.  He worked to live and made time for his hobbies.  He married a girl he adored and told her everyday.  He made all of his sisters feel special and would move mountains for his children - they were his everything!  His friends would reflect that he was deeply cherished and will be fondly remembered as being the kind “Mr. Nice Guy” who would always do whatever it took to make people laugh.  Andrew was an avid sports enthusiast.  He loved playing (and watching) hockey, golf, softball and ultimate frisbee.  He also loved spending time with his kids, camping and visiting family & friends.

Andrew was a loving husband to his wife, Danielle (Taylor) and a superhero & fantastic father to his children: Austin (10) and Naomi (7).  He will be deeply missed by his Mother: Susan Boyle, Grandmother: Ernestine Brown and sisters: Jennifer Kenny (Artie), Tracy Solmie (Derek), Heather Boyle (James), Krista Boyle (Nick). As well as his in-laws: Robert and Glenys Taylor, and sister and brother-in- law: Ashley MacLeod (Daniel), Damian Taylor (Karen) as well as a favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his father, David Boyle.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the prayers and support Andrew has been gifted during the last couple of months.  A special thank you to his many doctors as well as the wonderful staff and volunteers at Ruddy Shenkman Hospice. In lieu of flowers, Andrew would like donations to be made to the Brain Tumour Walk at https://www.braintumour.ca/brain-tumour-walk/ in hopes that it can help others avoid this awful ordeal.  A tree of remembrance has been planted at McAlpine Forever Forest.

A wake will be held on Wednesday, March 30th, from 7 - 9 PM followed by a funeral on Thursday, March 31st, 4PM at Tubman Garden Funeral Home 3440 Richmond Road Ottawa followed by a celebration of life at Conspiracy Theory Brewing, 2172 Robertson Rd, Ottawa.
