Allan Butler

_{Allan went home to be with his Lord on July 24, 2017, aged 91 years. Born in Ottawa, Allan spent his career as a chartered accountant at Revenue Canada and later as an expert tax consultant, working well into his eighties. His happiest times were those spent with his family, to whom he imparted unconditional love, valued wisdom and great generosity. He never gave a second thought before helping those in need. Allan's wit and wonderful sense of humour will endure in the hearts of those who loved him. Dad had an innate ability to make almost anything more fun by simply being himself. He was predeceased by wife Lillian (nee White), his parents, John and Annie (Power), siblings Edward, Martin, Eileen, June, Mona, and David. Allan will be sadly missed by his children Kim (Brian), Kelly and Christopher (Pierre-Yves), his grandchildren Sarah, Meagan and Sydney, his much loved niece Caroline, great-grandchildren, and cherished brother Clifford. The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff at Forest Hill whose exceptional kindness was a true gift to Dad in his final year. Visitation will take place at Tubman Funeral Home, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (at Bayshore Drive) on Monday, July 31, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 1 at 11:00 am at St. Isidore Roman Catholic Church located at 1135 March Road in Kanata. . In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Shepherds of Good Hope would be greatly appreciated.}
