Alan Hillier

It is with a very heavy heart to announce that our “Rock” Alan, passed away peacefully on March 16th. Alan was the most amazing father to our son AJ. They shared a special bond like no other. He was so proud of AJ and the wonderful life we shared here in the “Landing” Community. He was our fearless leader, our go-to guy, our Mr. Fixit, Master Griller, fishing buddy, life mentor, and my best friend. He had such a big presence when he walked into the room. Our memories of him will always be of all the love and laughter we shared together as a family. We truly had such a special family bond. He will be forever in our hearts, and we will miss him dearly.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lisa, his son AJ, his sister Ann Adams-Horner (Mike).  Beloved son-in-law of Chuck and Joanne (Marie Jo and Jean-Marc). Cherished brother-in-law of Chantal Nickeson (Ken), and uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, Ben, Noah, and Holly, Lisa and Stephen.

Alan worked in the IT industry in Ottawa for over 30 years He was very passionate about his career and was well respected and regarded by his colleagues. He took so much pride in his work and all of his accomplishments and will be dearly missed by all of his colleagues.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Ottawa.

A celebration of life will be held this summer at a later date.
