Agnes Katherine Simpson (née Wavrock)
1924-2018
Peacefully on March 23, 2018. Born 1924 to the late Joseph and Rosie (Chesal) Wavrock, of West Hansford, NS. Survived by son R. Keith (D. Lee); grandchildren Gwen, Andrew, Jennifer, Julia, Holly; close friend and former daughter in-law Deborah Jordan; brother-in-law Dr L.B. "Burt" (Jane); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her husband of 39 years, W. Gordon, in 1995; brothers Anthony "Tony", Charles "Charlie", sisters Frances Deschetza, and Mildred Turner, brother-in-law Doug. As a young woman, worked in Halifax as an executive secretary for W.H. Schwartz and Sons. Continued to work part-time as a private secretary in Fredericton and then Nepean, finally retiring in the late 1980s. She was an early and long-standing member of Knox United Church and the church choir. Always curious, cautiously adventurous, with wide-ranging interests. She enjoyed bridge and cribbage, especially with grandchildren and at the Nepean Seniors Recreation Centre. She loved golf, baking, and trying new recipes. An avid traveller, she went on many trips by plane, car, and cruise ship. Enjoyed the waves and friends at the cottage, Grand Lake NB. With a diverse taste in music, Agnes regularly attended the NAC Theatre and orchestra. Valued family and friends, maintained contact over the years. Visitation at the

from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday March 29
th
, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception, with interment at Pinecrest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Friends of the Central Experimental Farm, Carefor Health and Community Services or Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice appreciated.
