Patrick Shipton

Patrick John Elliot Shipton, born on April 23rd, 1998, died suddenly of undetermined cause on Sunday, May 14th, 2023 in Ottawa, Ontario.

Beloved son of Lynn Rainboth and Peter Shipton, beloved twin of Billie Shipton, beloved partner of Kelly Streight.

Adored grandson of Mary Rainboth and Sandra Shipton. Predeceased by his Grandfathers Peter Rainboth and Ralph Shipton.

Much loved nephew of Nora Shipton (Rob White), Ann Rainboth (Glen Macdonald) and Tom Rainboth.

Cherished cousin of Emma, Nora, Liam and Rhys.

Beloved of all who knew him.

Patty was a kind, thoughtful and loving person who touched the lives of so many. He leaves a vast community of family and friends who are devastated by their loss.

He was a talented software developer, canoeist, climber, dancer, a lover of solving problems but above all of helping other people. A most cherished twin, partner, son, grandson, nephew and friend. Patty was always there for everyone. He was our rock.

An Honouring of Life event will be held at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa at 30 Cleary Avenue on Thursday, May 25th, 1 - 4pm.
