Atterbury, Michael Edward
(RETIRED WARRANT OFFICER)
Michael Edward Atterbury, 80, passed away at home Friday November 5, 2021. Born in Derby, England October 15, 1941 and a 30-year veteran of the armed forces.
Beloved husband of 31 years to Judy Atterbury (Seale). Proud father to Colin (Bobbie), Brian (Kim) and stepfather to Scott (Lesley) and David Leonard. Nampy to Jarrod, Cyan, Nolan, Braedon and Kenzie, and dearly missed by Lyn Atterbury (nee Clark), nieces and nephews as well as friends and family.
A wonderful storyteller and world traveler, Michael would frequently share, with anyone that would listen, stories of his childhood and his many travels as well as knowledge and wisdom from his book of useless information. Michael lived life his way, always with a positive outlook. Patient, kind and generous, Michael was quick to help anyone in need. A lover of the outdoors from a young age, he enjoyed camping, fishing and the cottage on Hamilton Island where he was often found with a book in hand. He will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he has touched.
